Current volunteering opportunities Community Network Volunteer (Angus, Dumfries & Galloway, Highland or Perth & Kinross) As a Community Network Volunteer, you will organise and facilitate meetings and events for a group of families so that they can get to know one another and build a supportive community. This could be anything from arranging informal meetups in the local park to organising online or face to face meetings, to setting up local events. The group would be able to share knowledge and experience amongst one another and just be there for one another. Adoption UK Cymru - Connect Service Volunteer Are you part of the adoption community or has your life been touched by adoption? Do you enjoy supporting children and young people and making a difference in people’s lives? Then this is a great opportunity to join a nationwide community of volunteers at Adoption UK Cymru. We are looking for volunteers to support the Connected team during their monthly meetings for the children and young people who are part of the service. As a volunteer with the Connect Service, you will work with the Lead Workers to support delivery of the Children and Young People Service, across South Wales. You will support the Lead Workers to maintain agreed levels of contact with young people and their adoptive family during their registered time with the service and support other Connect activities as agreed with you. During the monthly sessions you will help with general tasks such as room set up, refreshments and general duties involved with group sessions as well as supporting the children and young people to engage in the group activities / workshops. Find out more and apply Adoption UK Cymru - Community Group Volunteer Are you part of the adoption community, either as an adopted person or adoptive parent? Do you enjoy meeting new people, supporting others and talking with other people who 'get it'? Then this is a great opportunity to join a nationwide community of volunteers at Adoption UK Cymru. We are looking for volunteers to host / co-host community groups for members of the adoption community here in Wales. Our community groups run across Wales in a variety of formats including online, in-person, hybrid and family meet ups. The groups operate to offer local networking, support, information, guidance and a sense of community for both Adoption UK members and non-members. The groups are run by our volunteers with the support of Adoption UK Cymru's community team. The role of a community group coordinator is to plan, organise and facilitate meetings in whatever format is most convenient for them and the attendees. The groups are open to prospective adopters / adopters awaiting a match and adopters with children.
