AUK Education Support Sessions (England Only) -

Education can be one of the most challenging parts of the adoption journey, but you don’t have to face it alone. Our Education Support Sessions offers informed guidance and practical support through an adoption lens, recognising the impact of early experiences, trauma and loss on learning, behaviour and school outcomes.

This service is for adoptive parents and carers in England, who are worried about school challenges, struggling to get the right support in place, or feeling unheard by their child’s school.

You may be navigating EHCPs, exclusions, SEND support, or trying to explain your child’s needs to education professionals. Whatever the challenge, you’ll be supported by an Education Parent Partner who understands adoption, trauma and the education system — and who can help you feel more confident, informed and supported in advocating for your child. Opening times: Thursdays, 9:00 am – 2:30 pm
