Celebrating our London Marathon Superstars!

We are thrilled to celebrate the incredible achievements of three amazing runners, Tim, Kim and Jackie, who took on the legendary TCS London Marathon this year in support of Adoption UK. Between them, they raised an incredible £2,000, helping us continue our vital work supporting adoptive families across the UK. 

What makes their story even more special is that each of them secured their place independently, either through the public ballot or via their running clubs and chose to fundraise for Adoption UK. Their decision to run for us was personal, passionate and entirely voluntary, which makes their support all the more meaningful. 

Despite the months of training, early mornings and countless miles, they all took on the iconic 26.2 mile course with determination and heart. From the buzz of Blackheath to the iconic final stretch along The Mall, Tim, Kim and Jackie not only completed the marathon but also raised vital awareness of AUK and the work we do, and we couldn’t be more grateful! 

We also want to say a huge thank you to our incredible volunteers, who made the day extra special. From cheering on every runner who passed to waving the Adoption UK flag with pride and even creating personalised signs for each of our runners – their support made all the difference. They brought energy, encouragement and a true sense of community to the day, which sits at the core of Adoption UK’s values. 

Their fundraising will go towards providing community support, training and advocacy for adoptive families, ensuring no one has to face the journey alone.
